PRISTINA, 13.10.2017 – Association of Journalists of Kosovo condemns today’s physical attack on our colleague Vehbi Kajtazi, editor-in-chief of Insajderi.com. AJK calls on relevant institutions to investigate this case as soon as possible.
Kajtazi was also a target of assaults and under continuous threats in the past. Unfortunately, some of the cases are not discovered yet, in meantime we expect independent investigation on this case.
AJK will monitor closely this case. Association of Journalists of Kosovo stands by our attacked colleague and give support during his tense situation.
Such attack represents serious concern related to safety of journalists and media freedom in our country.
This year marks a considerable increase of cases in which the journalists are the victims of violence.
