BEOGRAD, 29.03.2018. – The Independent Journalists’ Association of Serbia strongly condemns the violence of the special police of Kosovo (ROSU) over journalists who were reporting about the meeting regarding the internal dialogue on Kosovo and Metohija in Kosovska Mitrovica. The meeting was attended by Marko Djuric, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija and Nikola Selakovic, the General Secretary of the Serbian President.

During the action of Marko Djuric’s arrest, members of ROSU firstly pepper-sprayed Vladimir Milic, the cameramen of Radio Television of Serbia,  hit him a couple of times and tumbled his camera.

IJAS reminds all competent authorities again that they are obliged to enable all journalists to work safely, regardless of the circumstances in which they report.
