BELGRADE, 27.12.2017. – Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (IJAS) condemns threats against Dejan Petar Zlatanovic, editor-in-chief of the „Srbin Info“ portal and calls the authorities to investigate the incident.
Earlier today, the portal “Srbin Info” announced that its editor-in-chief received death threats by telephone. Zlatanovic reported the case to the police which, according to him forwarded the case to the prosecutor’s office.
According to the IJAS database, this is the 84th incident reported in 2017: we registered 54 cases of pressures on journalists, including surveillance, 22 verbal threats, 6 physical and two property attacks.
