In Novi Sad on January 17, 2025, during a protest by citizens and students in front of the Novi Sad City Hall, TV Nova S cameraman Darko Eker was pulled by his backpack and physically dragged by members of the Gendarmerie.

Fortunately, the cameraman was unhurt and the equipment was undamaged.

The case was not reported to the competent authorities.
