Serbian politician and parliamentarian Milenko Jovanov directly threatened not only their safety, but also their lives and the lives of their family members with the untrue constructions that “Ana Lalić opposes the construction of Serbian churches” and that Dinko Gruhonjić “identifies with Jasenovac criminal Dinko Šakić”.
Jovanov did this several times by openly declaring from the parliamentary lectern and giving statements through the media, which makes it clear that it was an organized campaign against the two journalists.
As a result of these targetings and hate speech, Lalić and Gruhonjić received numerous other threats.
