On April 20, 2020, at around 8.30 pm, Tuzla police officers stopped the RTV Slon crew, temporarily seized their mobile phone and deleted all the footage of the event they were reporting about. The RTV Slon media crew had valid press accreditations and a permit to move during curfew. After RTV Slon reported illegal police actions, the Tuzla Canton Crisis Staff, the Director of the Police Directorate of the TK and the Chief of the PU Center reacted, stating that they immediately took all necessary activities to sanction the inappropriate actions of police officers.
06/05/2020 – The Tuzla Police Administration informed BH Journalists Association in writing that the police officer of the Special Support Unit of MUP TK for a minor breach of official duty prescribed by Article 106, paragraph 1, item 6 (Incorrect and indecent behavior towards colleagues, employees or citizens) of the Law on Police Officers of Tuzla Canton, imposed a disciplinary sanction “written warning”.
