During the debate in National Assembly  on the Commissioner for Information of Public Interest report, Aleksandar Martinovic, member of the parliament and member of the ruling party (Serbian Progressive Party), said that the requests for access to information of public importance which the organizations were sending to the state institutions had “tendentious questions aimed at bringing down the security system of the Republic of Serbia.”

Aleksandar Martinović said that reporters, as well as the NGOs, asked security-sensitive information calling upon the Law on Free Access to Information of Public Importance and that they did not wish well to their country. He also accused former Commissioner of Information of Public Importance Rodoljub Sabic of working for foreign security agencies and Serbia’s opposition and against the SNS and Serbia.

Talking about work of Commissioner office, he said: “Serbia’s citizens should know that we primarily talk about those who mostly demanded, and I say that again, security-sensitive information, like CINS, KRIK, BIRN, BIRODI, Natasa Kandic, Nemanja Nenadic and so on.
