Dobrilo Malidzan, photojournalist of the daily newspaper “Pobjeda”, filed a complaint against an unknown person who damaged camera, owned by “Pobjeda”.
He was on duty during the protest, when he wanted to take a picture of a person in a wheelchair. But after noticing that the person did not have both lower limbs, he gave up of it. When he was asked why he was taking pictures of that person, Malidzan tried to explain that he was not doing that, showing him his camera in order to prove that. But the person took his camera and smashed it.
Deputy Basic State Prosecutor pleaded that it was a criminal offense that should be prosecuted privately and demanded that the injured party, after the identification of the person, should get his personal data.
The person who smashed the camera was warned against such behavior, and his data were further outsourced to photojournalist for submission of private prosecution. Malidzan did not initiate private prosecution against the person who interfered in his work.
