The building of the daily newspaper “Dan” was stoned on 16 July 2015 at about 4 a.m. The attacker approached, threw stones at the building and broke the windows of the advertising department and offices of Radio D and Radio D plus.
The police, who were immediately informed, came to the scene and conducted an investigation. The identification of the offender was facilitated by passers-by and workers at nearby restaurants who were eyewitnesses. Shortly afterwards, the attacker R. L. was arrested and prosecuted.
Deputy Basic State Prosecutor in Podgorica found that there were no elements of the criminal offense prosecuted ex officio in this case, but that it was a crime of destruction or damage to property belonging to another person, which was subject to private prosecution.
After the observations of the Prosecutor, the Security Centre Podgorica officials arrested and brough R.L. to Magistrate court in Podgorica, charging him with a misdemeanor, on reasonable suspicion of having committed an offense under Article 6 of the Law on Public Order and Peace. Magistrate fined R. L.
