On December 13, 2016 around 12:50 at the entrance of Kvaternik Square (town centre), unknown man first verbally then physically attacked Domagoj Margetić, journalist. In front of several witnesses he called Margetić names saying: „I’ll do you in, you scam-bag! I will make you shut up! You will never write again! You will have more problems once I finish with you! I will take you down!“ After these threats he tried to punch the journalist by his right hand, but he managed to escape it and distanced himself for some 20 meters. But attacker tried again to hit him, this time with plastic bottle. He hit Margetić at the back of his head and after approximately 10 hits he run away towards Zvonimirova Street. Some minutes later the police came to the scene as Margetić called it and they made the inspection but did not want to take forensic evidence, that is the bottle. Domagoj Margetić received medical assistance at the Rebro Hospital.
