In the case of JUG Press from Leskovac, attempts to break into their system were recorded. The site suffered two serious attacks, the first in the period of 15-17. on May and another on June 21, but thanks to the quick response of their technical support team, the consequences were successfully resolved. The attack was reported, however the reasons are unknown.
As noted in the monitoring database of Share and BIRN, this media house has been the target of similar attacks before, which leads to the suspicion that this incident is another attempt to exert pressure due to their objective, professional and impartial editorial policy.
