The journalist of the Novi Sad portal “021” Dragana Prica Kovačević told the journalists of the UNS association that the media on 17.12.2024. was allowed to record only the first 15 minutes of the session of the Assembly of Vojvodina, where decisions were made about the budget of the citizens of Vojvodina and Serbia.
According to the journalist of portal 021, the security of the assembly allowed entry only to photojournalists and videographers. After 15 minutes, the security demanded that the journalists leave the hall. At first, the journalists refused to leave because they wanted to inform the public about what was happening in the Parliament, but the security forces physically pushed them out. Journalists could not even leave the Assembly building for some time after that because the door was locked.
Journalists normally have a press room in the Assembly of Vojvodina from which they can follow the session, but only the chairman can be seen from it, as well as the outcome of the vote.
