The indictment proposal against Zoran Bećirović, his son Luka Bećirović, bodyguard Mladen Mijatović, and Ljubiša Dukić, who are accused of attacking Pobjeda journalist Ana Raičković and two members of her family, has been returned to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office for correction of deficiencies and errors, the Basic Court informed the ETV Portal.
Bećirović and his security team verbally insulted journalist Raičković in a coarse manner and then physically attacked her, her son, and her fiancé, who came to her aid, on the evening of November 10, in front of the fast-food restaurant “Gurman.”
The Basic Court has extended the detention of Zoran Bećirović and Mijatović.
Bećirović’s detention was extended due to the risk that he might commit the threatened criminal offense if released, while Mijatović’s detention was extended due to the risk of repeating the offense if released.
The prosecution did not request detention for Luka Bećirović, while for Dukić, the investigative judge, at the prosecutor’s proposal, ordered detention for up to 30 days. However, the Basic Court panel upheld the appeal filed by Dukić and revoked his detention.
