After the Speaker of Parliament, Andrija Mandić, adjourned the Assembly session, parliamentary staff asked the attending cameramen, photojournalists, and reporters to leave the Plenary Hall to prevent them from documenting the discussion between Mandić and opposition MPs.

Assembly staff attempted to obstruct media representatives from performing their duties by placing their hands in front of cameras. They also temporarily confiscated the phone from one journalist.

The head of the parliamentary club of Mandić’s New Serbian Democracy, Dejan Đurović, was the loudest in insisting that reporters and cameramen should leave the hall. As heard in a video posted on social media, Đurović shouted “Get out!” at the media representatives present.

Đurović later denied making such remarks, adding that he respects the work of journalists and the media.
