After reporting from the protest in Novi Sad, Sanja Ignjatović Eker, correspondent of TV Nova from Novi Sad, received several heinous threats.
The reporter was threatened on social networks, after TV Informer launched a campaign regarding her reporting.One of the messages even threatens to kill the child.
The second threat read as follows:
“What kind of mentally ill prostitute are you among the Serbian people, a whore, a nit, Satan’s child, you are a blind traitor, you are working against your country for a handful of coins, mother, you bastard fuck, Ustaša bastard, Šiptarsko Ustaško”
The threat or hate speech was sent by a person from the account sveto_pil Sveto Pil on the Instagram social network.
Both threats were reported to the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office for high-tech crime in agreement with NUNS.
