Political pary Naša stranka (NS), a member of the ruling coalition at the level of the Canton of Sarajevo and the state of BiH, sent a internal letter to a number of media outlets in Sarajevo, with instructions to report on the criminal investigation against Bojan Bošnjak, minister in the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo. who is suspected of several criminal offenses and is in custody. The letter to the media was sent on the day when Minister Bojan Bošnjak’s detention was extended for another two months. The minister was arrested on November 15 in Sarajevo.
The BH Journalists Steering Committee and the Free Media Help Line assessed that this was a political attack to the media outlets and an illegal interference in the work of journalists and the media work. This attack was evaluated as an attempt to introduce censorship on media reports about Minister Bojan Bošnjak, a member of the National Socialist Party.
