    December 7, 2024: The police of the 1st Police Station Osijek, with the Čepin substation, conducted a criminal investigation and established suspicion that a 75-year-old man committed the criminal offense of "Coercion against a person performing duties of public interest or in public service." On December 7, 2024, the perpetrator was handed over to the detention supervisor along with a criminal complaint to the competent state attorney’s office. This case was handled based on the Protocol on Police Procedures in Cases of Criminal Offenses Committed Against Journalists and Other Media Workers During Their Professional Duties, which was signed by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Journalists' Association (CJA), and the Trade Union of Croatian Journalists’.

    December 10, 2024: The Osijek State Attorney’s Office released Taslidžić from pre-trial detention. He was ordered to stay 100 meters away from the journalist and not to have any direct or indirect contact with him or otherwise, he would be remanded.

Co-owner and authorized signatory of the Elektromodul company, Damir Taslidžić, physically attacked Dario Topić, a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Komarilos portal. Komarilos.com, which primarily deals with Osijek city issues, wrote about the case of the City of Osijek’s refusal to extend the parking concession for the Elektromodul company from December 31st of this year, after 26 years. Damir Taslidžić, whose company Elektromodul is still the current concessionaire, invited Topić to his business premises under the pretext of giving him information about fraud in the awarding of concessions and physically attacked and beat him as soon as he entered, which means that the attacker did everything with premeditation.
