Pobjeda journalist Ana Raičković was attacked on November 10, 2024, in front of the restaurant “Gurman” in the Podgorica, together with her son Uroš Gagović and her fiancé Tomo Arapović. The attackers insulted Raičković, threatened her, pulled her out of the car, choked her, dragged her by the hair, and smashed her car window.
Businessman Zoran Bećirović, his son Luka, and their security staff member Mladen Mijatović—who is also an officer of the Ministry of Interior—along with Ljubiša Dukić, were charged with violent behavior in connection to the attack.
On April 24, the Basic Court in Podgorica delivered a first-instance verdict, convicting Zoran and Luka Bećirović and Mijatović for committing the crime, recognizing that they acted knowing Raičković was a journalist for Pobjeda and a contributor to TV E.
Zoran Bećirović was sentenced to one year in prison, Mijatović received ten months, whereas Luka Bećirović was given a suspended sentence of seven months.
Ljubiša Dukić was acquitted, as there was insufficient evidence proving his involvement in the crime.
On April 24, five months after the attack, Raičković was granted police protection, following an official assessment that her safety was at risk.
