“Vijesti” journalist Jadranka Cetkovic was attacked in front of the building of the High Court in Bijelo Polje, while she was on a work assignment. Cetkovic followed the trial in Bijelo Polje, and after the trial, she went out in front of the building to take photos of the accused. Lawyer Markovic and the accused D.D. first came out of the court building and stopped to be photographed by a journalist, after which she noticed E.P. coming out of the building. As she stood with the phone in her hand E.P. took quick steps and spread his arms towards her and said to her in a threatening tone warning her not to take photos of him, with a lot of threats and insults.
On suspicion of committing the crime of coercion, E.P. was deprived of liberty on the order of the acting prosecutor and is brought to the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje for further jurisdiction within the legal deadline.
Prosecutor Ljubica Cakovic established that the suspect’s actions did not contain elements of a reported criminal offense, or any other criminal offense for which he was prosecuted ex officio.
