The Assembly of the town of Doboj has imposed special measures for issuing accreditations to journalists and media for following assembly meetings, and approved only selected media to record the assembly sessions. This local government requests from journalists and media to register 48 hours before the assembly session to follow the meeting. Also, the requests are not allowed by email, but the journalists need to go to the City Hall and fill the form by themselves.
At the last Assembly session held on March 13, the BNTV media crew was not allowed to record, while it was allowed to the RTV Doboj owned by the Town of Doboj.
This decision by the Doboj Assembly is contrary to the right of free functioning of the media and access to events of public interest.
