The president of the RS, Milorad Dodik, verbally attacked journalist Goran Dakić, correspondent of Oslobođenje, in Banja Luka. At the press conference Dodik prevented Dakić from posing him a question, adding “You can’t be here, what are you doing here?” After the conference ended, Dodik approcahed security and told them to never let Dakić enter the RS Government building.
The Steering Board of BHJA characterized this attack on Dakić as “brutal violation of the right to freedom of expression and as institutional discrimination of not only Dakić, bit also of media outlet for which he works. BHJA invited media and journalists to boycott Milorad Dodik and to stop reporting on his activities, considering that for more than two decade already he has been spreading hatred and political intolerance towards Oslobođenje, but other media as well.
