On February 17, 2025, journalist Glidona Daci of TV Klan became the target of a defamatory and misogynistic online attack, posted anonymously on a social media page named “Nesti Angoni Mazniku.” The page shared a post filled with personal insults, fabricated allegations, and sexist insinuations aimed at discrediting Daci both professionally and personally. The post falsely portrays Daci’s career trajectory, alleging that she advanced in journalism through personal relationships rather than merit, while also making derogatory claims about her personal life and private relationships. The post further weaponizes her relationships to undermine her credibility, reinforcing a pattern of gender-based online harassment against women journalists in Albania. A similar post on the same page also targeted journalist Mira Kazhani, mocking her professional success and attempting to discredit her work through sarcastic and dismissive gendered stereotypes.
