The crew of Gradska TV was verbally attacked and prevented from working on September 16 by employees of the Montenegrin Electricity Distribution System (CEDIS).

The crew had gone to the field in the Podgorica neighborhood of Gornji Vranići, where residents had been without electricity for more than 24 hours, to film the repair work. However, CEDIS workers did not allow them to film and threatened them with alleged official identifications and calling the police.

One of the workers told the cameraman that he is a former police officer, that he has official identification, and that he has trained in jiu-jitsu, which members of crew perceived as a threat and left the settlement.

The television’s editorial team requested an official statement from CEDIS regarding the incident and an investigation into responsibility.
