Nikolina Martinović, a journalist and editor of the 035 portal from Slavonski Brod, received threats via telephone after publishing an article critically addressing the work of a local association and their lack of response to certain important social issues. According to Martinović, an employee of the association called her and stated that both she personally and the association would ensure that the journalist’s livelihood is jeopardized. The employee threatened to shut down 035portal.hr, emphasizing that the association would take all possible steps with the Council and the Agency for Electronic Media to terminate her work, influence her professional activity, and ensure that she would no longer find employment in any newsroom in Croatia.
