The General Secretary of the Rowing Federation of Serbia, Vladimir Antić, filed a private criminal report/lawsuit against the journalist of investigative portal “Pistaljka” Snežana Đurić for reporting on irregularities in the management pointed out by a whistleblower from the Federation.

According to information from “Pistaljka”, Antić proposes to the court to sentence the journalist to two years’ imprisonment since his photo was published along with the text. It is emphasized that the photo was taken from the official website of the Rowing Federation of Serbia.

The journalist was charged with the criminal act of Unauthorized publication and display of other people’s documents, portraits and videos. The lawsuit also demands that the journalist be convicted of the criminal offense of Insult, and that she pay a fine in the amount of 450,000 dinars, as well as compensation for non-material damages (due to mental pain suffered due to injury to her honor and reputation) in the amount of 200,000 dinars.
