Radio-television of Serbia (RTS) journalist Tamara Tankosić was verbally and physically attacked by a woman unknown to her on October 17 at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, where the prize for the best doctoral thesis was awarded.

The attack was not preceded by any verbal communication, but that person hit the journalist from behind, then followed her and pushed her against the wall at the entrance door to the hall, hitting and scratching her. A female person addressed the journalist, telling her several times “I know who you are” and threatening her. She also said that she would find her after the event at the Faculty.

The attack was reported, and the police and the public prosecution acted very quickly.
