Faktoje, an independent fact-checking organization in Albania, has faced increasing attacks
from media outlets, public figures, and online platforms. These attacks focus on accusations of digital censorship, alleging that Faktoje collaborates with META to suppress dissent, deactivate accounts, and remove posts on controversial topics. Additionally, Faktoje’s staff, including its CEO, have been subjected to personal harassment, such as the publication of private photos, exposure of personal data, and online defamation campaigns.
