In February 2024, the Rector of the University of Zenica, Jusuf Duraković, sent a letter to the management of BHRT, RTV FBiH and Klix, protesting that journalists – correspondents from Zenica, did not follow one of the events at the University. The rector accused journalists of “sabotaging” the work of this higher education institution. Rector Duraković also asked the management of the three media outlets to determine whether it was “personal negligence of individuals, personal interests or instructions from political power holders”.

The  BHJA condemned the political pressure on the media and the attempt by the rector of the University of Zenica to interfere in editorial decisions about media coverage of events on the ground, as well as falsely accusing journalists of not following the work of the University at all out of personal or political interests.
