Journalist and professor Dinko Gruhonjić received dangerous direct verbal threats on social network Facebook. The threat is just one of many made during the protests in Novi Sad over the death of 15 people after a canopy collapsed at the Novi Sad train station. Gruhonjic strongly supported the protests by students and citizens, which provoked extremely harsh reactions from individuals and organized groups.

Gruhonjic was told: “It’s a question of your end”, “remember that I follow you like a shadow, it’s a matter of minutes when you will be deceased”, “you will die quickly”, “you will be slaughtered”, it is written in the threatening messages sent on Facebook by foreign person who is signed as Milenko Protić.

Journalist reported the threats addressed to him to the Prosecutor’s Office for High-Tech Crime through the mechanism of the Permanent Working Group for the Safety of Journalists.
