The chief and responsible editor of Podrinske, Isidora Kovačević, received a threatening message after she published on social media photos of SNS official and former member of parliament Aleksandar Peranović, who is also the director of the Šabac PIO Fund and is at the head of the Šabac hippodrome, with the comment “when the party chooses the company.” In the first photo, Peranović is in the company of beaters on the Šabac bridge during the demonstrations in November last year, while in the second he is in the role of a political official. After that, insulting and threatening messages were sent to her on social networks from an anonymous profile. Kovačević stated: “The threats are new and refer to talking about me publicly until I end up in an insane asylum.” For a long time, I didn’t publish anything about politics and batterers, and the story about the warrants “cooled down”. And now that I mentioned something like that, that message arrived full of insults and that I would end up in a madhouse.” The journalist reported the case to the police at the competent station in Šabac.
