The attacker was Požega Mayor Vedran Neferović, who had asked the journalist to come to his office and asked him who had written certain article published at the portal the journalist worked. Accoarding to journalist Mirković, the Mayor immediately started to shout and to offend him, threaten to kill him and everybody in the portal (034portal.hr). He pushed him against the wall and smacked his head against it. He was pushing him out of the office and kicking him, said Mirković. The Mayor went on kicking and pushing him towards the stairs. People in the hall saw it and some of the municipal employees asked the Mayor not to do it, media reported.
