Following the arrest and initiation of an investigation into suspected spreading of panic, journalist Ana Lalic suffered continuous attacks from multiple sides. The sharpest were the highest-ranking government officials who accused the journalist of lying, hating the state and intentionally spreading panic on a daily basis. Accusations by the authorities were followed by attacks from pro-government media, which brutally accused and targeted the journalist. The negative campaign, which lasted at least for two weeks, even had elements and gave the impression of an organized campaign.
