Another explosion took place tonight in the North of Kosovo. The explosion took place this time near the Tëvë1 television team, in the Bosniak Quarter in the Municipality of Mitrovica.

The team consisting of journalist Gojart Jashari and cameraman Rron Agolli were present when the explosion occurred.

“The explosion was strong. We did not manage to see those who did it, but at the time of the explosion, the Police were also nearby. From what they could see, there were somewhere between 5-6 organized people who threw the explosive”, said Jashari.

The Association of Journalists of Kosovo is deeply concerned about the situation in the north of the country and calls upon its colleagues to be extremely careful during their reporting from this area. Furthermore, AJK once again asks competent authorities to take appropriate measures to ensure that journalists can carry out their work without being endangered or hindered.
