The Nova.rs portal’s team security was threatened in Vlastimir Đuza Stojiljkovića Street in the Belgrade neighborhood of Mirijevo while they were trying to film buildings that are suspected of being the subject of disputed legalization. The editors received information that the building is being built by the company of a certain Novak Stajić, who is the brother of Nemanja Stajić, the head of the Secretariat for Legal Affairs of the City of Belgrade, and sent a team to the scene. Then a person who introduced himself as a security guard appeared and attacked the cameraman, with direct threats and insults. Nova.rs portal journalist Miloš Lazić said: “It was an extremely unpleasant situation. He claimed that we entered private property and that we have no right to film”. He added: “We tried to explain to him that he is wrong and that he cannot forbid us to work. Then he went away several times and talked to someone on a mobile phone. After talking on the phone, he became more and more aggressive to threaten us with the words ‘don’t make me beat you with a stick’. He also told us that we were lucky because he didn’t let the dog on us.”
