A large crowd of protesting university students gathered in front of the Serbian state TV (RTS) headquarters to shout and blow whistles in an effort to disrupt the main evening news show.
The noisy protest gathering was reminiscent of protests against the Milosevic regime in the 1990s when people gathered to make noise during the main evening news on the RTS.
The RTS reported the gathering several minutes into the 30 minute show, saying that the students were dissatisfied with RTS reporting on their protests.
Drama Arts students released a statement saying that RTS reporter Igor Topalovic falsely claimed that they added a new demand – criminal proceedings against 5 people whio attacked students and professors. “That is part of the original demands made on November 26. The RTS would have known if it had published our demand but instead used its right to lie about everything.
The crowd used whistles to make noise as they gathered in front of both entrances to the RTS headquarters but the noise was not audible in the news studio.
The students carried banners with a large number of different messages.
