In the municipality of Marina, a case was uncovered that attracted significant public attention and raised serious questions about the legality of actions taken by local actors. Specifically, a mortuary and dozens of graves were built on private land without the knowledge or consent of the landowner and without the required permits.

The case was investigated by a news crew from the programme “Poziv” of Nova TV, which went to the field to gather information and request statements from those connected to the construction. During the filming of the report, a serious incident occurred. Businessman Marijan Ugrina reacted aggressively and attempted to prevent filming, issuing direct threats to the journalists. Among other things, he threatened them by saying, “I will set a dog on you,” clearly implying the possibility of a physical attack. In addition, he demanded that the cameras be turned off and threatened to destroy the equipment.
