On July 1, 2026, the journalist crew of the Rec media production from Užice, filming a feature for Nova S television, was rudely prevented from filming the fire and the activities to extinguish this fire in a public space. The incident happened near the landfill in the village of Druglići near Priboj in Western Serbia.

Cameraman Miloš Vulović was pushed away from the present workers, even though he was on a public surface, far from the ramp at the entrance to the landfill itself. On several occasions, the camera was obscured with the intention of preventing recording, but also with physical attempts to cause damage to property and equipment.
