During the protest gatherings in the evening hours of August 14, supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party attacked the gathered journalists, who were reporting on last night’s protests in front of the General Staff in Kneza Miloša Street and who were grouped in the zone between the two gathered parties.
Given that there was no police cordon set up between the journalists and SNS supporters, but only a small number of deployed policemen, at one point the SNS supporters rushed towards the journalists in an organized manner and with the intention of attacking and intimidating them, shouting “now film the journalists”.
The journalists had to run down Birčaninova Street, which was recorded by Teodora Šulj, a journalist from the “Zoomer” portal, on a live video. Fortunately, there were no physical injuries, and according to the data available to NUNS, journalists were not injured in this attack.
