Jasmina Muminović, Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief of the news portal Standard, filed a criminal complaint with the police on October 12 following a threat directed at the outlet’s newsroom. The threat appeared in a comment posted by a Facebook user on Standard’s official page, under a link to the article titled “Selective Actions of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office: Prosecuting Editors More Important Than 100 Kalashnikovs Prepared for the Serbian Church.” The Facebook user wrote: “Standard, how about I pay you a visit at home?”

In her complaint, Muminović stated that she perceived the comment as a personal threat to herself, the editorial team, and the journalists of Standard. “Especially in the context of recent events in which the Special State Prosecutor’s Office targeted our portal — along with several other media outlets — in its order to conduct an investigation into alleged organized criminal activity involving Aleksandar Mijajlović and others,” Muminović said.

Police officers undertook measures and actions, and the acting prosecutor determined that the case constitutes a misdemeanor under Article 8 of the Law on public order and peace, after which a request was submitted to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against D.K.
