Two incidents have raised concerns about media access during Albania’s local by-elections. In Berat, Euronews Albania journalist Ardit Hoxha was stopped by an election commissioner while reporting from a polling station, preventing him from covering the voting process.

In Mat, Syri TV reporters said they were not allowed to enter several polling centers by election officials and local representatives. The journalists described being briefly blocked at the door while trying to film, amid reports of tension and limited transparency in some areas.
