The President of the Municipality of Novi Bečej, Saša Maksimović, in a public holiday greeting to citizens, stated, among other things, that “many forces have conspired against the politics of the Republic of Serbia, from the European Union level to the village portals of Novi Bečej.” There is only one registered portal in the territory of Novi Bečej—Webinfo—so this statement clearly singles out and directly targets that media outlet.
