On December 12, journalists Nenad Kulačin and Marko Vidojković received a third threat via social media. From a third profile, the following threatening message was sent: “Just take your heads off, scum”.

The threats were immediately reported to the competent Special Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade.

The threatening messages were sent from seemingly authentic Facebook accounts, which included full names, photographs, and information about the whereabouts of the individuals making the threats. This indicates that the threats were issued without any attempt to conceal their identity. Such openness in issuing threats further underscores the seriousness of the situation and the sense of impunity, while the availability of these details to the authorities should allow for swift identification and appropriate sanctioning of those responsible.
