Chief State Attorney Ivan Turudić today refused to give a statement to N1 Television, despite addressing all other media representatives present. N1 reporter Katarina Plantak was on site and claims that their filming was prevented immediately before the statement began.
“Ivan Turudić arrived and began giving a statement. My colleagues called me because we were supposed to start recording, but when the cameraman and I approached, we were told that N1 was not allowed to record because the statement had been arranged in advance. We stepped aside, and then representatives of another media outlet arrived and recorded the statement without any problems,” Plantak said.
She added that other media representatives present were told that no statement would be given to anyone if N1 Television was present on site. N1 Television also stated that they had sent an inquiry to the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia and would publish its response as soon as it is received.
