“Media Literacy for Journalists” – is the module that opened this year’s edition of the Information Integrity Academy, and was lectured by Besa Luci – editor-in-chief at Kosovo2.0.
Before the start of the module, the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Journalists of Kosovo, Xhemajl Rexha, addressed journalism students and journalists.
Rexha talked about the importance of this Academy for young journalists, and thanked the National Democratic Institute – NDI and USAID in Kosovo, for the opportunity given to students and journalists to learn the best practices for verifying information.
In the first module of this edition, journalistic principles, media culture, content creation, use of digital tools, professional standards, and the role of the media in society were discussed. Also, journalists had the opportunity to analyze local and international media content.
The Academy for Information Integrity will continue with five more modules in the following months.
