Threats and hate messages were directed at BIRN journalist Radmilo Marković. A person using the profile Dušan Grujić sent a direct message via the social network Facebook, which, alongside a series of insults, told Marković: “I just want to tell you to run to the holes, you bald rat.” This threat, which includes violent language, is yet another example of the increasingly frequent attempts to intimidate journalists and obstruct free journalism.
