After the Bečej mosaic report from the public gathering, published under the title “Parallel actions at the same place in Becej: Students attracted citizens, SNS stands empty”, a series of brutal threats and insults followed on the Facebook and Instagram pages of this portal. The messages contained threats of violence and hanging, hate speech, inciting national hatred, misogynistic and sexist insults, as well as direct calls for physical violence against the journalist.
Among the messages sent to Kristina Demeter Filipčev are threats stating “you will hang like that”, “I’m going to fuck you, the journalist AND the students…all under the sword”, as well as insults on a national basis, messages questioning her origin and affiliation, as well as brutal misogynistic insults and calls for violence.
The threats were reported to the competent Public prosecutor’s office for high-tech crime.
