Journalist Selma Kolašinac of the Mahala podcast and N1 Bosnia and Herzegovina were heavily targeted by the tabloid Informer.
The tabloid published an article titled, “N1 Joins Forces with One of the Leaders of the Blockades! Here’s Who Is Leading the Campaign to Portray Serbs as a Genocidal Nation,” in which it targets Selma Kolašinac, a journalist with the Mahala podcast, and N1 Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The article claims that “the tycoon-owned television station N1 and one of the main stars and leaders of the street blockades” have allegedly joined forces in an “attack on Serbia” with the aim of “proving that Serbs are perpetrators of genocide.” Informer further describes Selma Kolašinac as “one of the organizers of the blockades from Novi Pazar,” alleging that she traveled to Srebrenica “under the direction of anti-Serbian media such as the tycoon-owned N1.”
The case has not been officially reported. However, it is highly concerning because the way the article is written could incite serious threats and attacks against both the journalist and the media outlet.
