170.000 euros for Television Pljevlja

PODGORICA 07/27/2018. – Pljevlja Municipality recently announced a tender for the purchase of equipment for Radio Television Pljevlja, with the total worth of 170,000 euros.

The premises of this local broadcaster were completely destroyed in a fire that erupted on May 22 this year.

With this tender they are expecting to purchase new cameras, computers, TV sets, studio reflectors and other necessary equipment, as well as to pay construction and craft works in the Academic Center, where new premises of this TV station are located.

Local authorities have predicted a shortened deadline for submission of bids of 22 days, so public opening of bids is planned for August 15th. Reason is the necessity for RTV Pljevlja to provide conditions for work as soon as possible.

Experts have determined that the fireworks for Independence Day which were fired from the roof of the building, caused a fire. Expert on fire protection Radovan Popovic finded that the fire was a result of the combustion of paper packaging from which the fireworks, the so-called batteries, were shot.

It is not yet known when RTV Pljevlja will start working again. Employees of that media broadcast the news show Pljevaljska hronika through the Youtube Channel. Recently, the show can also be viewed on TV screens.

Recently, at the donor’s dinner organized in Pljevlja’s Milet garden, about 130,000 euros were collected for RTV Pljevlja.
