    21.5.2026. Police officers of the Vukovar-Srijem Police Administration conducted a criminal investigation on suspicion of the criminal offence of Threats, as well as misdemeanours under the Public Order and Peace Act. During police intervention, the suspect allegedly insulted and belittled police officers and was subsequently brought to the police station and detained in police premises. Following the investigation, criminal charges for threats will be submitted to the competent State Attorney’s Office, while a misdemeanour proposal related to public order offences will be submitted to the competent court.

On 21 May, during a cultural event in Vinkovci, a cameraman from Vinkovci Television was threatened while filming a report from the event. According to the police, a 41-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol (2.14 g/kg), disturbed public order and peace by shouting in the street and threatening the media worker while he was recording the event.
