During the attempt to block the entrance to the court building in Novi Pazar, on August 12, there was a conflict between protesters and the police.
While reporting, journalist Nusreta Brunčević witnessed an incident in which a member of the police, without a visible name tag, threw inappropriate comments at female students in the front rows. After the journalist asked the police officer to introduce himself, he first refused, and then only gave his name. At one point, a member of the police directly addressed the journalist, telling her that she was “irrelevant” and emphasized “we’ll see each other”, and when she asked him if he really said that, he confirmed it with a sneer and mocking tone.
After the journalist reported the case to the commander, he removed the mentioned policeman from the scene.
